About Us

Concept and Objectives


The main purpose of the project is to identify and formulate recommendations for the development of an improved policy mix based on the harmonisation of the assessment of economic and societal impacts of public funding (including policies and instruments) for RTDI. The project will focus at three policy areas in particular:

(i) stimulating private R&D investment,
(ii) improving the cooperation between public research institutes /universities and private enterprises, and
(iii) improving the management of research institutions and universities.

General Strategy


The work plan of the project is articulated in seven work packages (WP) with one of the partners taking the lead of each. WP1 “Management”, and WP7 “Dissemination” will cover the whole time span of the project:  WP’s 2,3,4,5, and 6 constitute the main body of this proposal and can be summarized as follows:

Contribution to High Quality Research


The different departure points of the countries involved in the project (some of the participants have never undertaken an impact assessment, but all attempt to improve their practices in doing this), as well as the mix of small and large countries and regions and of ‘old’ and ‘new’ member/associated states provides a good background to undertake a project of this nature.
